Why Are Fried Pork Skins “not A Significant Source Of Protein?”?
Posted by Zolly | Under Nutrition Wednesday Feb 24, 2010In a 14g serving of Vitner’s Fried Pork Skins, there are 8g of protein, according to the nutrition facts label. But under the % Daily Value listing, it says “Not a significant source of Protein.” What is it about those 8g that is not significant?
It is probably not complete protein which is found in meat and soybeans. To be a complete protein it must supply the body with all essential amino acids.
