Nurtiberries in any flavor are great for the birds. They're the insides of various seeds (so no wasted hulls tossed all over), stuck together with something tasty and have added nutrients/supplements.
I personally feed my lovebirds a pellet diet (Zupreem Avian entree's Garden Goodness so far has been their favorite) and give them a few nutriberries a day as a kind of healthier treat, and so they can get their seed fix.
I know of people that use nutriberries as the main diet, and it seems to be just fine, most of the nutriberry types are formulated to be ok as a main diet. Don't forget the fresh foods though as well.

Peanuts arent good for lovebirds, they are too fatty. You should continue to feed the bird what it gets at the store and eventually you can feed them a mix of the two and every few weeks give them a little less of the old stuff. just make sure that your bird gets the stuff its already being fed because it can stress them out if their food supply is suddenly diferent and there in a new environment. they may not like the food either and stop eating. It sounds pretty good though, just make sure that you give them that in addition to fresh fruits and veggies EVERY day. my lovebirds favorites are spinach, BROCCOLI, carrots and apple, although they dont like apple as much as the other. dont forget to get your birdy lots of toys for proper brain development and entertainment and play with him everyday. Lovebirds make great pets, they are my favorite animal. make sure that you handle the bird before you buy it though because you never know if you will get an untame handfed lovebird. If you only get a worker/employee to hold the bird the bird may really like that person and not allow you to hold him without a nip or two.

u should find out what brand the bird used to eat. that's the best way because its used to it and can feel more at home. i suggest u buy 2 lovebirds because it might get lonely. if u like that berry brand, u can buy that too and mix it with what it used to eat. Hope my suggestion worked. Good luck!!!
