What Are The Nutrition Requirements For A Chicken And A Cat?

Friday Jan 29, 2010

Chickens require lots of carbs and protien . They eat bugs, grass, plants , grains . They are not herbivores, as some will eat baby mice and did I mention bugs ? On my farm i have them to eat the fly maggots too.
Cats need Protien, tarine, and carbs . They naturaly will eat fresh mice rats, birds , grass with seed . Think about all the calcuim there is in the bones of the animals they eat, plus they are eating everything that is in the gut of the animal they ate . So if a mouse was snacking on grains and bugs , then the cat is getting digested and pre digested grains and bugs also .
We use Life’s abundance Cat food , Developed by Dr. Jane Bicks , a Vet from NY SPCA and she has cats. She only uses top stuff for the cat food. Check it out below.

I don’t know about a chicken, but I know it is grain based feed and should not have any hormones/antibiotics preservatives dairy, etc in it and a cat is a carnivore. Here are a few good sights about carnivore feeding: http://www.rawmeatybones.comhttp://www.rawfedcats.org/, I feed my dogs a carnivorous diet and it is the best I have ever done for them. I’m vegan also so if I can feed a raw diet, anyone can.
