I am considering going back to school to pursue fitness and nutrition; however, I have been removed from academia for quite some time and have no clue what schools in the Philadelphia area offer good programs in this field. Is anyone aware of what Philadelphia area schools would be worth looking into?

If you could pay for a nutritionist or fitness trainer to come to your home to help you lose, maintain, or gain weight:
1) how much would you be willing to pay for a once weekly visit by a nutritionist?
2) how much would you pay for a trainer to come to your house and exercise with you 2 or 3 times a week?
3) what kinds of things would you want your nutritionist or trainer to help you with?

ok, so if i eat like, a peach, and i want to know how many calories was in that peach, obviously i can look it up on the nutrition facts label, so is there like a website or something when i could like search for the informantion bye type of food?

i dont get how they make something that tastes like butter but has 0% of anything (calories, fat, choles.,carbs etc.) it has 1% sodium but thats all. anyone who can explain the science behind this product?

I’m planning to lose a little weight but I want to do it the healthy way. I was wondering how many portions of food you need to eat from each food group and what foods these include. Also I was looking at the juice fast where for 5 days you only have vegetables and fruit which have been blended into a juice, does anyone have any additional information on this, or any good recipes or meal plans?

My goal is to lose about 30 pounds. Lately, I’ve been reading the nutrition facts on everything and avoiding foods that have high calories. If instead of 2000 calories per day, i eat 1000, will that help me lose weight, or is that bad for me? Also, I’ve been running about a mile a day, how many calories do you think that will burn? Please help, i have NO experience or knowledge on this subject AT ALL. Thanks.

Is there actually any difference? They’re from different brands and stuff, but what really? I want to get big fast. Same question with protein powder.
Any recommendations as to which one will help me put on the most muscle the fastest (with workout of course).
