Based On Nutrition Listed, What Food Should I Go With For My Two Great Danes?

I have a 3 year old Great Dane with joint problems and sensitive skin and a 6 year old Great Dane with smaller frame who is very active and doesn’t act like a senior at all. I was thinking about putting them on a really good healthy food and I’ve narrowed it down to Innova Large Breed. The only thing left to decide is whether I should put them both on Senior or Adult. On one hand the 6 year old is a senior and the 3 year old has joint problems, like senior dogs. On the other hand the 3 year old is an adult and my 6 year old is much more energetic and active than he is.
So I took the nutritional break down of both foods and found these to be the biggest differences in content:
Adult formula has more than extra 50% of Leucine, Folic Acid, Omega 3, Fiber than the Senior. Adult also has more than extra 25% of Fat, Biotin, Linoleic Acid as compared to the Senior. All other dosages are virtually the same.
So, in my case, are these extras good for my dogs, or is Senior the way to go?

Help Moms!! First Baby Didnt Thrive On Breastmilk.. Thought The Second Baby Was Doing Great But Now….?

well my first son took almost 4 weeks to regain his birth weight after a 6% loss after birth… his pediatrician recommended we supplement with formula after that, which lasted for about two weeks until he got thrush which tranferred to me and led to the eventual rejection of the breast since i was feeding him more often with those because of the pain. anyways, with that said, i was worried about breastfeeding our second child, hoping they would gain weight faster. she was born at 7 lbs 1 oz and lost 7.8% of her body weight and to my delight, had regained her birth weight by 9 days old! i was so proud, after the letdown of not being able to provide what was “natural” to my son. at her next weigh in, when she was 3 weeks old she was up to a whopping 8.36 lbs! (approx 8 lbs 5 oz), leading to further delight at the incredible job my body was doing and her love for eating. things were great, she eats one schedule and for a good amount of time with no latch issues. heck, she even started sleeping for 5 hrs at a time during the night at 4 weeks! (twice for 7 hours! those were sweet hours…) anyways, this week was another weigh in at 6 weeks. to my surprise – she weighed in at 8.68 lbs (approx. 8 lbs 10 oz), only 5 oz more than last time – she also had just eaten and was wearing one light article of clothing and a diaper – last time it had just been a diaper. now my red alarms are going off and im worried shes not gaining enough weight. she already gets the rare bottle of formula (2-3 bottles per week) which should have helped in chubbing her up.. she doesnt throw up very much either. she goes back when shes 8 1/2 weeks old for another weigh in just to be sure but my dr’s only suggestion was that she was in between growth spurts… i feel like the same thing is happening all over again, just a little later in the game and i dont know what to do.. a huge part of me wants to breastfeed and to be the one that provides that nutrition to my little one for a while longer.. she looks so beautiful when shes nursing. but part of me wants to be sure shes healthy and growing!! my dr was concerned with 5 oz in 3 weeks and from what ive read, hes got a right to especially since she had just eaten (she usually eats 4 oz from the bottle, so im assuming its the same from the breast)….. any tips moms?? i just feel like theres no hope and almost no point since the same thing happened with my son and i completely lost the chance to breastfeed him after 6 weeks…

What Do Average 15-18mth Olds Eat Throughout The Day?

My son has decided he’s going to be a picky eater. or at least thats how it appears lol. I’m running out of ideas for standard meals, or regular items for him to eat. he doesn’t like cheerios much anymore, and isn’t fond of spaghetti. I’m not sure what to give him for breakfast to make sure he gets what he needs for nutrition…and he doesn’t like veggies, when he does eat them he doesn’t eat alot. how do you know if they’re getting enough of each food group? he’s 15.5mths old, 3ft/32lbs. he’s a big boy, so I know he eats more than alot of his age does, but it also leaves me a little lost? he also doesn’t like milk anymore, I’ve been trying to supplement with yogurts and cheeses, but don’t know if its enough?

Diagnosed With Gestational Diabetes, And I’m Super Confused/worried/tired…any Advice Or Help Would Be Nice.?

So I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes at 29 weeks, I’m thinking my blood glucose levels at the time weren’t all that bad since they haven’t been outrageous until recently.
I saw a dietician and she gave me a nutrition guide, and suggested blood sugar levels for fasting BG aswell as pre and post meal levels, and I test all the time (not sure how often I’m supposed to be testing? I probably go through 100 strips in about 2/3 weeks. I have no experience with this, and the doctor/dietician doesn’t seem to be of any help..) Also, when I eat the suggested foods I was given, it often spikes my blood sugar, but when I eat what I want, it doesn’t seem to have such a huge effect. Milk for instance, spikes my blood sugar very high, and she suggested I drink 1/2 cup with all three of my meals in a day, which i don’t do. I’ve been taking a calcium supplement to make up for my lake of milk consumption. Anyway, at this point I’m sick and tired of being confused about what I can and can’t eat, and I’m terrified of harming the baby with consistantly high blood sugar levels, I had an ultrasound at the beginning of this week, and the baby measured perfectly at 30 weeks and I was 30 weeks and 2 days so I don’t know if I should be freaking out (which I am) or not being so concerned seeing as how it isn’t causing any problems. Does anyone have any advice? I can’t get ahold of my doctor or my gynecologist until tuesday, and I’m afraid to eat anything, which I know can also harm the baby and I’m having a freaking nervous breakdown about this whole situation. Not sure what kind of help I’m asking for, but anything would be appreciated…

What Would An Excess Of Sodium Consumption Do To One’s Body And Health?

You know, like when you look at the nutrition facts for instant noodles and such, you would see up to 78% sodium. Maybe I’m reading it wrong, but it seems a lot.
Out of curiosity, what would excess sodium intake do to the body?
