I live in Asia. I live in a average family but since most fruits, vegetables, poultry is imported, they are bloody expensive. My fridge is dominated by red meat. Dinner is basically meat and rice or pasta, annoying as hell. So, i need to lose some pounds but can’t without changing my meals. Help?

I’m pregnant. My prenatal pill has 250 mg of calcium and I know I need to have milk, yogurt, etc throughout the day. However its tough for me to get all 1200mg recommended for pregnancy so I bought a separate calcium citrate supplement for the days I know I need an extra boost. Its only the calcium part, there was another option that came with some vitamin D, Magnesium, and something else. It led me to believe that these others may help for optimum digestion. So I’m wondering, should I be ok with my pure calcium citrate since I’m not depending on it, or should I get the other one I mentioned bc it really will help with digestion better?

I’m not sure what my average will look like, but hopefully it’ll be in the low 70′s to mid 70′s… What else do they look at other than academic records though? Do they look at volunteer experience or anything like that? I don’t have much experience in the field of a food scientist, but I generally want to become a teacher after this. Like a F/S teacher or something. Also, is math required in being a teacher? Cause I suck at math!

I am worried that once we try to wean to wean our daughter off of her one 8oz bottle of 3% milk at bedtime that she won’t get enough milk during the day. We try to give her milk in a sippy cup during the day, but she refuses it. She will drink water from the same kind of sippy cup and drinks a lot of it too. So, I’m just wondering how I make sure she gets enough milk for her nutrition while NOT giving her the bottle anymore. The DR wants her off of it and we are expecting another baby in April so we want her off of the bottle soon so she won’t revert back once the new baby arrives. Maybe I need to supplement the milk during the day with puddings, or yogurt?? Any thoughts or advice is really appreciated

Hi, can you please provide some information about the following?
For someone who knows nothing about nutrition, but wishes to do a course/program, and have a part time career in it,
1 – where must I start? Do I have to do a graduate degree in (BA or MA) Nutrition? Or do I do a course to become a Nutritionist?
2 – Are there any good schools that you can recommend in any of these three states – CA OR and WA.
Thanks for your suggestions.

I thought they block each other’s absorption?
And while I’m at it, why don’t iron (and maybe even calcium for that matter) supplements not warn not to drink tea for a bit after taking them, because the tannins will interfere with absorption, too? Is that just too complicated, because everything can interfere with everything else? I certainly feel that way sometimes when I look at nutrition… :S

I kinda want to remove myself from eating so I can save a lot of time(maybe also money) and always have enough nutrition in my body. is there anything like that?
if there is that product… maybe I could remove my stomach and intestine and my body will use less energy…
