I am starting a health/diet/nutrition/weight loss/exercise/etc website, because obesity is a growing problem in America and I want to help. I am a Biology major at Boston College and understand some of the biological aspects of nutrition and gaining fat. I have some ideas of what to put on the site, but if you were going to a website like this to try and lose weight/get in shape, what would you want? What would you want information on? Weight loss plans? Nutritional label reading guide? Incentives for losing weight? More information on metabolism and fat? Consequences of eating unhealthy food? Please give me any ideas that you have, and let me know if you think this would be a successful website.

Whenever I go into a GNC or some other Sports Nutrition Store I get a headache from being overwhelmed of the amount of supplements that all claim “big gains” and “improved performance.” From Creatine to L-Glutamine they are all claiming they can “work.” I bought a few supplements not to long ago but after awhile it basically makes me feel very “sick.” I mean I am trying to find out what really works out there and it seems like what really works will sooner or later get pulled off the shelf. After awhile buying supplements can put a big dent in your wallet. So what really works?

I get USG scans and it looks a bit inflamed but not scarred much at all. I take Milk Thistle, zinc, and stuff that is general nutrition supplements. Anybody ever tried Thymic Protein A? Anybody have any thing that has helped them stop liver inflamation? I don’t want to do the interfurion/ribovarin, it’s some hard stuff as I understand, for only a 50% chance of clearing the virus. Any advice?

Quote from http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/anutmed.htm#poop:
“Scientists theorize that mineral deficiency subjects us, and our animals, to more diseases, aging, sickness and destruction of our physical well-being than any other factor in personal health. A groundswell of nutrition conscious veterinarians are beginning to recommend to their clients that they supplement their animals diet with a daily dose of flaxseed oil, coconut oil and other nutrients for optimum health and vitality. The food your animal eats should provide all of the nutritional components which are necessary for all organs and systems of a healthy body to perform in harmonious unison.”
Does anyone know if there is a Dog Food out there which will provide all the necessary nutrients my pup needs? Or will I have to buy supplements, in addition to, the food I am currently buying. Right now, she eats “Pedigree; Adult Complete Nutrition”. Yes, it SAYS COMPLETE, but is it? LOL

I’m looking for the perfect nutrition bar for when I travel. Most energy bars have way too much fat and sugar. I usually use “Protein Plus” bars, but they have 6g fat, and 3.5 of which is saturated. Does anyone have any suggestions on the perfect snack for the road?
